William D. Hollingshead,

William D. Hollingshead, Sr. of Thomasville passed away Monday, May 24, 2021 at his residence. He was the loving husband of Sharon M. (Keener) Hollingshead to whom he was married for 16 years and the late Christine V. (Jackson) Hollingshead who passed away in 2000. Born in West Liberty, Maryland he was a son of the late Bisker R. Hollingshead, Sr. and Mabel O. (Shatley) Hollingshead. William was a truck driver with McCory’s Trucking and Kinard Trucking and enjoyed spending time with his family and playing his guitar and loved to watch wrestling. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children William D. Hollingshead, Jr and his wife Pam, Sherry L., wife of Joe Schaufele and Michael C. Hollingshead and companion Rebecca Beck; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three sisters Margaret Trone, Patty Hollingshead and Martha Norris. William was preceded in death by three Franklin Hollingshead, Gayla Norris and Bisker R. Hollingshead, Jr. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 11AM from West Liberty United Methodist Cemetery, 20400 West Liberty Road, White Hall, MD 21161. A viewing will be held on Tuesday morning from 9-10am at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc. 24 N. Second St. New Freedom, PA 17349. All attendees will be required to wear a mask per funeral home policy. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 314 Good Dr. Lancaster, PA 17603.
