William M. Michal, Sr.

William W. Michal, Sr., 94, of Freeland, MD passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at WellSpan York Hospital. He was the loving husband of Maude Jeannette (Badders) Michal to whom he was married 72 years. Born in York, PA he was a son of the late John and Anna (Kauffman) Michal. William worked as a maintenance electrician for 36 years for Black and Decker prior to his retirement. He loved to cook, bake cookies, and work in his garden and workshop. William served his country in the US Navy. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons William W. Michal, Jr. and wife Linda and Steven K. Michal; two grandsons Shawn and Adam; one great-grandson Trey; one brother John H. Michal and wife Vivian. He was preceded in death by a sister Mary Michal. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of his family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the donor’s choice.
