Yvonne Marie Cyr

Yvonne Marie Cyr, 93, of Glen Rock, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2024. Born in Lincoln, NH, she was the daughter to the late Edmond and Clara (Cassidy) Plourde. She was the beloved wife to the late Elie A. Cyr, who shared 60 years of marriage together before he passed in 2010.

Yvonne loved playing games of all sorts. She enjoyed puzzles, crocheting and knitting. She was an avid baker, even earning the nickname as the “cake lady”. Yvonne always loved to look her best, from her hair and clothes, all the way to her fingernails. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were very important to her.

Yvonne is survived by her 3 children, Doreen F. Johnson, Gerald E. Cyr (Sherry), and Carol M. Wigginton (Bernard); 6 grandchildren, Daniel Clark, Joshua Wigginton, Jennifer Jacoby, Jason Cyr, Robert Johnson, Jr., and Kim Funk; 8 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Susan Harless, great granddaughter Whitney Harless; her 3 sisters and 1 brother; along with her husband and parents.

Public Viewings will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2024, from 3-5pm and 6-7pm at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc. 24 N 2nd St, New Freedom, PA 17349. A Celebration of Life will follow at 7pm. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
