Yvonne V. Kasso

Yvonne V. Kasso, 92, passed peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her family and friends on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 in York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Alfred C. Kasso who passed away in 2001. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Preston W. and Laura (Confer) Trent. Yvonne retired after 25 years from Howard Johnson’s in New Jersey where she was a waitress and later a hostess. She enjoyed flowers, especially orchids, reading, talking with friends on the phone, animals, her dog Rosie and spending time with her grandchildren. Yvonne is survived by her three children Wayne McCoy husband of Rosemarie of Berlin, NJ, Linda L. McCoy of Stewartstown, and Stephen McCoy of Las Vegas, NV; three grandchildren Marina wife of Aaron Hanson, Michael McCoy, husband of Sara and Ethan McCoy; one great-grandson Chase Hanson and a very dear friend Debbie Del Carlino of Stewartstown. She was preceded in death by a brother Donald Trent. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 3 pm from Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 19 S. Main Street, Stewartstown with Pastor Tina Minnich officiating. Interment will be held in Dallastown Union Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 2 pm until the time of her funeral service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA, 3159 Susquehanna Trail, York, PA 17406 in her memory.
