Yvonne Z. Lauer

Yvonne Z.Lauer, 76, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, March 26, 2022. She was the wife of the late Richard L. Lauer, her husband of 52 years. Yvonne was born October 12, 1945, in York, to the late Curtis E. Zeigler, Sr. and Dorothy V. (Harvey) Zeigler. Yvonne was employed by Stewartstown Sewing Factory, Justice of the Peace- Winterstown Boro, 911 Dispatcher- York County, Fincor, former Bendix and Genie Electronics. She was a paralegal in Red Lion and York areas for several attorneys. She also worked at York County Domestic Relations at York County Court House. While there, she also volunteered with York County Children & Youth Services and Youth Aid Panel. Yvonne was a member of Winterstown United Methodist Church, NCHA, SOYOCO Camping Club, The Early Birds, 83 Campers, Boy Scouts of America, Troop 151 and Girl Scouts of America, Troop 507 in Winterstown. She was also a member of Stonettes - Old Stonehedge Campground, Red Lion American Legion, Post 543 and N.H.W.V.F.C. She is survived by her three children, Timothy S. Lauer and his wife, Jackie of Red Lion, Lori A. Smith of Red Lion, and Mark A. Lauer and his wife, Jennifer of Cross Roads; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and her three siblings, Curtis E. Zeigler, Jr, Judy A. McWilliams and Richard E. Zeigler, Sr. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant son, Richard Curtis Lauer and grandson, J.D. Smith. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Winterstown U.B. Cemetery Association; 12184 Winterstown Rd. Felton, PA 17322. Following private services, friends are invited to attend a celebration of Yvonne’s life from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 1, 2022, at Winterstown United Methodist Church; 12184 Winterstown Road, Felton, PA 17322.
