Andrew “Andy” J. Gorman, Jr., 78, of New Freedom passed away peacefully Sunday, April 6, 2025. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth “Laura” Gorman to whom he was married 45 years.
Born in Baltimore, MD he was a son of the late Andrew J. Gorman, Sr. and Margaret M. (Henn) Gorman. Andy always was able to help others with his skills in finances and work advice. He enjoyed special lunch time with Brian and Monday mornings with Jeff & Carl. He worked at Westinghouse Electric, Cutler Hammer and Eaton Engineering, retiring after many years. He loved playing and watching sports such as golf, Nascar, the Orioles and especially cheering on the Ravens. He also liked assembling HO model trains and Legos. Also in his last two years, he greatly enjoyed traveling the country, exploring Florida and Western US with his brother Joe.
He is survived by his two daughters Theresa L., wife of Daniel L. Mundis and Rebecca V., wife of John D. Funk; three granddaughters Taylor Mundis, Rachel Funk and Cassandra Funk; two brothers Joseph S. Gorman and Timothy L. Gorman.
A Time of Remembrance will be held Sunday, April 13, 2025 from 2:00 -4:00 p.m. at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. Second St. New Freedom. Interment will be held privately.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 924 N. Colonial Ave., York, PA 17403 in Andy’s memory.
