Carolyn Ann Wilson

Carolyn A. Wilson, 80, passed from this life on Tuesday morning, May 28th, 2024. She was the devoted wife of Rev. Larry W. Wilson for 57 years before he passed away in October of 2021. Born in Lynchburg, Va, she was the daughter of the late Hedric and Georgia Edythe (Kegley) LaPrade.

For many years, Larry and Carolyn lived in Lynchburg, VA, where Carolyn was the manager of the Piedmont Club. Although they served many groups and families over the years, her favorite group was the R.O.M.E. O’s (Retired Old Men Eating Out). In the mid to late 1990’s, Larry and Carolyn moved to Stewartstown, Pa. Carolyn joined Eastern Savings Bank as an Administrative Assistant and Buyer until her retirement. Carolyn’s great joy was serving alongside Larry in ministry to their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, whether they were in Virginia, New Jersey, Illinois, or at Immanuel Baptist Church in Stewartstown where they faithfully served for many years.

Carolyn is survived by her brother and sister-in-law John and Janet LaPrade, sister Vicky Giangualano and predeceased by her sister Janice Mason; survived also by her in-laws, Astrid (Dwight) Wilson, Ronald and Annette Wilson, Sr., Jeannine (Wilson) and Oakes Gernert and predeceased by brother-in-law Dwight Wilson Sr.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and by Jasmina Kalkan, whom she considered a daughter.

A graveside service will be held in Carolyn’s honor on a date to be determined.  Interment will be in the St. Peter’s Free Cemetery on Yellow Church Road, Seven Valleys, PA.
