Charles J. “Buck” Maenner, Jr., 83, of White Hall, passed away surrounded by his family on February 4, 2020. He was the loving husband of Carol (Chekanski) Maenner with whom would have celebrated 45 years together this month. Charles, affectionately known as “Buck” was a great friend to many. He could strike up an interesting conversation with just about anybody. He attended St. Joseph’s High School in Baltimore and was 1 of 11 children to Charles J. Maenner, Sr. and Margaret (Deal) Maenner. Buck loved baseball and football, especially the Baltimore Colts and Johnny Unitas. He enjoyed fishing and rifle hunting with his friends and will be greatly missed by his many friends and family. In addition to his wife Carol, Buck is survived by his 5 children Stephen Maenner, Robin Kelly and her husband Steve, John Hartwig and his wife Lisa, Leonard Maenner, and Lena Argiro and her husband Gary; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 1 sister Pearl Preller and numerous nieces and nephews. Buck is preceded in death by his parents, 1 child, and 9 siblings. A time to gather and visit will occur on February 15, 2020 at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc. 19 S.
