“Inga” Marion Inge Andrews

“Inga” Marion Inge Andrews, 83, of New Freedom passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023. She was the wife of the late Gene Allen Andrews. Born March 13, 1940 in Düsseldorf, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Heinrich Müller and Meta Maria Weinbach and step daughter to the late George Weinbach. Inga is survived by her two daughters, Tina Maria Olson and Patricia Morgan (Van), three grandchildren Christopher Ryan Olson(Lisa), Keagan Morgan and Cameron Morgan; four great grandchildren, Grace and Reid Olson and Ryleigh Olson and Wyhatt Morgan. She was preceded in death by her four sisters. Her first marriage was to a military man who she met in Germany. While living there she taught German classes. She was also a dental assistant at Children’s Hospital in Baltimore. While doing that she worked on the side as a plastic surgeon’s assistant. For 33 years before retiring, she worked as an Orthopedic OR nurse at Children’s Hospital in Baltimore. Her medical career was very important to her. She loved her job and caring for her patients. She spent 30 wonderful years married to her husband, Gene. After her husband passed away it was very important to her to take over his New Freedom borough council spot. She spent her entire life happily serving the public. Following cremation, a Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Maryland Line United Methodist Church, 21500 York Rd., Maryland Line, MD with Rev. Dennis Schulze officiating. Burial will follow in New Freedom Cemetery.
