Janet A. Gray

Janet A. Gray, 70, died Thursday, January 14, 2016, at SpiriTrust Lutheran, the Village at Shrewsbury. She was the wife of Barry E. Gray, with whom she celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary on July 22, 2015. Viewing 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, January 22, from the J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom. The funeral service will begin at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Terry Felton officiating. Burial will be in Highview Memorial Gardens, Fallston, Md at a later date. Born January 23, 1945, in Big Cove Tannery, Fulton County, Janet was the daughter of the late James E. and Bertha Hohman Reed Harris. Janet had attended the Mason Dixon Baptist Church of New Freedom. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Tim Young-Black and his spouse, Ron; a grandson, Marshall Young-Black; four sisters, Norma Smith and her husband, Ron, Linda Ricketis, Mona Tillman and her husband, Manning, and Donna Leonard and her husband, Dan; and a brother, Steve Harris and his wife, Shelly.
