Liborio F. Zambito, Jr.

Liborio F. Zambito, Jr. passed from this life on Sunday, April 23, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Paulette (Webb) Zambito and they were married on August 14, 1976. Born in York, he was the son of the late Liborio F. Zambito Sr. and Margaret (Bowman) Zambito.

Frank, who was also known as Butch, served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a life member of the VFW. He worked at the Fawn Grove Service Station for many years. He was a member of Reliance Fire Company #1 of West York and York City Fire Company Union #3 as well as York City Fire Police. Frank joined CVFC of Fawn Grove in 1976 where he held positions of President, Lieutenant, Fire Police Lieutenant, and was a life member. He was involved with the Boy Scouts and became Pack 83 Cubmaster. Frank was the announcer for Fawn Grove OTD and Bumps & Berms BMX Track. He loved music, playing in bands, and was known as the professional DJ “Frankie Z”.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, Anthony P. Zambito and wife, Sam of Fawn Grove, and Christopher W. Zambito and wife, Megan of Red Lion, and Victoria L. Turner and husband, Harry of Lansdale; 6 grandchildren, Georgia Kidwell, Wyatt & Parker Zambito, Lillian Turner, Sydney Gordon, and Sawyer Zambito; a sister, Virginia Moore and husband, Robert of York; and several nieces and nephews, Rebecca, Thann, Vaughn, James, Nicholas, and Mitchell. Frank was preceded in death by parents Liborio and Margaret Zambito, sister, Nina M. Morthland and her husband John Morthland, and grandparents Naomi and Norman Bowman.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to a viewing from 7-9 p.m. Friday, April 28 at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown, PA 17363 and on Saturday from 1-2 p.m. There will be a funeral service on Saturday, April 29, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Zion United Methodist Cemetery, Corner of Woolen Mill Road & Grove Mill Road, Stewartstown, PA.
