Margaret Kay Mcallister

Margaret Kay McAllister, 64, formerly of Fawn Grove, died Friday, February 19, 2016, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. A viewing will be held from 12 to 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 23, at the J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Jonathan W. Batchelder officiating. Interment will follow the service in Prospect United Methodist Cemetery, Gatchelville. Born May 5, 1951, in Baltimore, Md., Margaret was the daughter of the late Jesse Sanders and Edna Margaret (Torbert) McAllister and grew up on the family farm in Fawn Grove. Surviving are a brother, Robert J. McAllister of New Park; three nieces; two nephews; three great-nephews; three great-nieces; and two sisters-in-law, Pat and Cora McAllister. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth L. and Donald P. McAllister.
