Matthew Joseph Arnold

Matthew Joseph Arnold, 33, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2018. Born in Baltimore he was a son of Ron and Cynthia (Platerote) Arnold. Matt was a graduate of Kennard-Dale High School and was a very compassionate, caring person who put others needs before his own and was loved by all who knew him. Matt was proud of his military service in the US Army and currently was employed at the Lebanon VA Medical Center in patient transport where he made many friends and touched so many lives. He enjoyed reading books, watching movies and listening to music and knowing all the words to a song as it played on the radio. Family was very important to Matt and he will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his parents Ron Arnold Jr. and Cynthia (Platerote) Arnold of Stewartstown; two daughters Aubrey and Bryanna five siblings Richard Fisher, Melissa Fisher-Greenfield, Jennifer Plumley, Eric Arnold and Robert Blackmon; paternal grandparents Ron and Fran Arnold; maternal grandmother Polly Lowman and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 4PM from Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care Inc, 19 S. Main St. Stewartstown, PA 17363 with his uncle Pastor Frank Hudson officiating. A viewing will be held from 2PM until the time of his service at the funeral home. Military honors will be rendered by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.
