Richard Earl Greer, 77, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2021, at his home. He was the beloved husband of the late Linda Marie (Mentzell) Greer who passed on April 25, 2020. Born in Pylesville, Md., Richard was the son of the late Robert Flem and Nanny Irene (Tibbs) Greer. Richard proudly served in the U.S. Army from September 1961 to September of 1964. He had worked at Black & Decker for over 35 years in a variety of positions from laborer to supervisor. He also had worked at Arundel Corp. for a year as well as Crescent Industries for 3 years. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed traveling – especially ‘road trips’- and photography. He will always be in our hearts. Surviving are two children, Wendy Greer of Shrewsbury, and Richard ‘Brody’ Greer of Casper, Wyoming; a grandson, Howell Greer; and three siblings, Robert Greer and his wife, Connie, Elie Greer, and Kenny Greer and his wife, Kathy. Richard was preceded in death by two brothers, Roger and Donald Greer. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a graveside service honoring Richard’s life at 1 p.m., Friday, March 5, at Bel Air Memorial Gardens, 809 Rock Spring Road, Bel Air, Md. 21014.
